Sen. Schumer (D): We Have 3 Branches of Government: HOUSE, SENATE, & PRESIDENT!!!

This is just a fun video. I don’t really buy too much stock in occasional gaffes like this. I just get a bit of a chuckle out of them. Although, you have to wonder what if someone like Palin or Bachmann said something like this? Is Chris Mathews going to spend a week calling Schumer a “balloonhead”? I doubt it.

Of course, Schumer got it totally wrong. The three branches are legislative (Senate & House), executive (president), and judicial (Supreme Court).

Ed Morrissey brought up some good points about the rest of what Senator Schumer was saying:

But even apart from that, Schumer still doesn’t have a point. No one is saying that we shouldn’t pay the debt ceiling. There isn’t anyone rooting for default in either party. The question before Congress is whether we will raise the debt ceiling in order to allow the government to borrow even more money. If Congress doesn’t raise it, the US won’t be able to sell more debt, which means that it will have to stop paying on its obligations, although those decisions can be prioritized to put off defaulting on existing bonds, at least for a short period of time.

So, Schumer didn't know what he was talking about all the way around.

New Poll Shows 53% Believe Media Is Exploiting Tuscon Tragedy to Hurt Conservatives

A new Gallup poll from USA Today shows that, despite Democrats and the media constant assertions that the right and (especially Palin) is to blame for the shooting in Tuscon, not only isn’t America not buying it, but they, also, see it for what it is, the left exploiting this tragedy to further their own political agenda:

A new USA Today/Gallup poll finds Americans dubious that the heated language used in politics today was a major factor that influenced the alleged gunman in last week's shootings in Tucson, Ariz. Twenty percent say such rhetoric was a major factor in the shootings, while 22% cite it as a minor factor; 42% say it was not a factor at all. Democrats are more likely than independents or Republicans to believe political debate played a role….

Most Americans reject that theory, with 53% agreeing that commentators who allege conservative rhetoric was responsible were mostly attempting to use the tragedy to make conservatives look bad. Roughly one in three, 35%, say the commentators were making a legitimate point about how dangerous the language used by conservatives can be.

This poll was done three days after the shooting, giving people plenty of time to make up their minds on the issue.

Of course, gun control has, also, been brought up by the Democrats in the wake of the shootings, but the people aren’t buying those tickets, either:

Most Americans, though, do not believe tougher gun laws in Arizona would have prevented these shootings. One in five say stricter laws would have prevented the tragedy, while 72% disagree. Democrats, who are more likely to support gun restrictions, are also more likely to believe the shootings could have been prevented if tougher gun laws were in place, but a majority of this group still says the shootings would have occurred regardless.

This is not going to help new gun control laws, like the one from Rep. King (R-NY) prohibiting guns within a 1,000 feet of any federal official, from gaining enough momentum to pass, especially in the heavily Republican House. New gun laws, probably, wouldn’t even pass the pro-2nd amendment Democrats in the Senate.

This meme is a dead issue for the Democrats, and they should give it up and move on.

Mission Not Accomplished: 57% of Americans Don't Blame Political Rhetoric For Gifford's Shooting

Seconds after the Giffords' shooting, the left immediately proceeded to blame the right, Sarah Palin and the TEA Party most of all, for shooting by claiming that their rhetoric creates a violent aura in government. Despite all of the political mudslinging from the left, the majority of Americans aren't buying what the media is selling, according to a new CBS poll:

Nearly six in 10 Americans say the country's heated political rhetoric is not to blame for the Tucson shooting rampage that left six dead and critically wounded U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, according to a CBS News poll.

In the wake of the shooting, much focus has been put on the harsh tone of politics in Washington and around the country, particularly after a contentious midterm election. Rhetoric and imagery from both Republicans and Democrats have included gun-related metaphors, but the majority of the country isn't connecting the shooting to politics.....

Overall, 57 percent of respondents said the harsh political tone had nothing to do with the shooting, compared to 32 percent who felt it did. Republicans were more likely to feel the two were unrelated - 69 percent said rhetoric was not to blame; 19 percent said it played a part. Democrats were more split on the issue - 49 percent saw no connection; 42 percent said there was.

Independents more closely reflected the overall breakdown - 56 percent said rhetoric had nothing to do with the attack; 33 percent felt it did.

I'm ecstatic to see that people are seeing this huffing and puffing by the left for exactly what it is: BS. All evidence shows that he couldn't have cared less about Palin or the TEA Party. He was apolitical. His rants just seemed to be just rants of a madman, who had held a grudge since Giffords became US Representative in 2007. That was way before the rise of Palin or the TEA Party.

Democrats were hoping to not to "waste this crisis" and villanize and bully the right into silence and obscurity, so they could further their anti-2nd amendment agenda and more, but they failed big time.

Rueters: Can NJ Gov Christie Overcome Weight to Become Legit Presidential Contender?

Even though, he has denied that he is running for president again and again and again, a reporter from Rueters still questions whether New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) can overcome his obesity to become president or not:

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is a rising star of the Republican Party seen as having a shot at a White House run, raising questions whether his obesity could impede his chances.

Now, I'll admit that this article does a pretty good job of making their case without being too biased, but the fact that they brought it up is a bit questionable. Someone's weight has nothing to do with how good of a president they could be. It's a cheap shot.

If fact, the reporter admitted that going after Christie's weight has backfired, when opponents have tried to go after his girth:

Referring to Christie's size may have backfired on former Governor Jon Corzine, whose 2009 campaign ads showed unflattering images of Christie and accused him of "throwing his weight around."

"That was seen as a desperation move in New Jersey," Galen said. "The fact is that Corzine tried an ad hominem attack against Governor Christie and Corzine is now a private citizen and Christie is now governor of the state."

It's not like we haven't had overweight presidents before. Taft was very fat, and Teddy Roosevelt was a bit hefty, too.

Considering that a recent pollhas Christie not just ahead of every other GOP hopeful in a hypothetical field but he is the ONLY one to actually be beating Obama in a hypothetical one-on-one race, it doesn't seem to be hurting him at all.

So, if it has backfired to go after his weight before and polls show that he's not hurting in the polls in the slightest, why mention it?

Is This Really Necessary? Oscar the Grouch Trashes Fox News

In an effort to not so subliminally influence our young, a television show that is geared to toddlers has decided to enter the war against Fox News. Oscar, Big Bird, and company are supposed to be teaching our kids how to count and say their ABC's not what news channel to watch when they come of age. Considering that it is all of our tax dollars that pay for Sesame Street, we are all paying for our kids to be indoctrinated by Oscar the Grouch. This is way over the line, and yet another reason why all federal money should be pulled from PBS, if they continue to include this liberal propaganda in our children's educational programming.

GE Receives Payback For MSNBC's Glowing Coverage of Obama

Jeffery Immelt has transformed NBC networks, especially MSNBC, into a bastion for liberal superpartisans. Now thanks to a loophole, General Electric is getting "rescued" by a program designed to help the banks:

General Electric, the world's largest industrial company, has quietly become the biggest beneficiary of one of the government's key rescue programs for banks.

At the same time, GE has avoided many of the restrictions facing other financial giants getting help from the government.

The company did not initially qualify for the program, under which the government sought to unfreeze credit markets by guaranteeing debt sold by banking firms. But regulators soon loosened the eligibility requirements, in part because of behind-the-scenes appeals from GE.

As a result, GE has joined major banks collectively saving billions of dollars by raising money for their operations at lower interest rates. Public records show that GE Capital, the company's massive financing arm, has issued nearly a quarter of the $340 billion in debt backed by the program, which is known as the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program, or TLGP. The government's actions have been "powerful and helpful" to the company, GE chief executive Jeffrey Immelt acknowledged in December.

Not a bad return on their investment after sacrificing their ratings and occupational integrity showering The One with praise and tingles up their hosts' legs.

Typical: AP Will Start Publishing Articles From 4 Left-Leaning, 0 Conservative Nonprofits on July 1

Have they given up on at least throwing conservatives a bone? They aren't even giving conservatives a token report anymore. The Associated Press has outdone themselves this time:

Starting July 1, the Associated Press will begin publishing articles produced by nonprofit organizations, all four of which are left-leaning.

I guess they couldn't find any conservative nonprofits.

Newsweek Editor Elevates Obama to God, Is Life Before Birth Above His Pay Grade Now?

Apparently, Obama has elevated to a deity according to those in the mainstream media:

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God."

Thomas, appearing on Hardball with Chris Matthews, was reacting to a preceding monologue in which Matthews praised Obama’s speech: "I think the President's speech yesterday was the reason we Americans elected him. It was grand. It was positive. Hopeful...But what I liked about the President's speech in Cairo was that it showed a complete humility...The question now is whether the President we elected and spoke for us so grandly yesterday can carry out the great vision he gave us and to the world."

At least, he's being honest about his beliefs. No wonder why the newspapers and magazines are going bankrupt.

MSNBC's O'Donnell: No White Men Were Good Enough For Supreme Court

From the same network that have guests that call tea party activists "teabagging racist rednecks" and don't challenge them, Norah O'Donnell claims that there weren't any qualified white men to replace Souter.

During the 3:00PM EST hour on MSNBC on Wednesday, political analyst Pat Buchanan wondered why President Obama’s short list for the Supreme Court only included women, in response, anchor Norah O’Donnell declared: "Did it ever occur to you, Pat, that maybe there weren’t any white men who were qualified?"

Buchanan replied: "No, it did not occur to me...You mean there are no white males qualified? That is – that would be an act of bigotry to make a statement like that." O’Donnell defended her remark by claiming past discrimination against women in the nominating process: "In the past there have been no women that have been qualified." Buchanan argued: "They certainly have been qualified in the past. I don’t doubt there are. But probably half of the great lawyers and judges are white males in this country. And to rule them out, why? Because of their sex and because of their race is wrong, I think. At least it’s affirmative action."

O’Donnell rejected Buchanan’s claim: "I don’t think you have proof that they did that." Buchanan asked: "How did he come down to four women?" O’Donnell simply repeated White House talking points: "He said that they were the best and that met the views that he had, the particular criteria." Buchanan summed up that "criteria": "One of them, it’s got to be a woman, and the other it got down to be, ‘hey, it’s an Hispanic,’ that’s affirmative action."

Last time I checked, Souter was a white man. So a white man isn't capable of replacing another white man. That doesn't make sense.

While I agree with Buchannan that affirmative action is in play here, we all knew it was coming. So, I don't know why Buchannan acted surprised. He was probably just making a point, but it's falling on deaf ears over at MSNBC and their overly liberal audience.

New Justice League Starring Ted Turner-Superman, Oprah-Wonder Woman, & Michael Bloomberg-Aquaman?

Watch out world! There are new superheroes are among us, at least according to ABC:

George Soros is a superhero along the lines of Batman and Superman? That's the comparison correspondent John Berman made on Thursday's "Good Morning America." The ABC journalist was reporting on a closed door meeting of billionaires that included liberals such as Soros, Ted Turner and Oprah Winfrey. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss charitable giving, leading ABC to feature a graphic with Turner as Superman and Winfrey as Wonder Woman.

And while well known arch-liberal Soros, financier of groups such as Moveon.org, wasn't featured in the silly illustration, he was discussed in the piece, with no mention of his hard-left positions. (Billionaire/Mayor Michael Bloomberg was relegated to being portrayed as a lesser hero, Aquaman.) Soros, who once compared the Bush administration to Nazis, was simply referred to this way: "Together with others in the meeting, including George Soros, Ted Turner, David Rockefeller, they're worth more than $125 billion."

This is once again blatant liberal bias by ABC. They only applaud liberal philanthropists as super heroes. They totally ignore conservative billionare philanthropists.

Does CBS Still Have a Editor With Ethics? CBS Chief Legal Analyst Calls Cheney a "D**k"

CBS is keeping it classy as always:

It appears CBS News's Chief Legal Analyst doesn't agree with his colleague Bob Schieffer that former Vice President Dick Cheney is winning the national security debate with Barack Obama.

Quite the contrary, Andrew Cohen thinks Cheney is still living in "the world of September 11, 2001, a world where hijacked planes are screaming toward their targets, chaos reigns, and anything goes."

As a result, Cohen wondered in a Friday posting at his CBSNews.com blog "Court Watch" if Cheney is, "as many people say, just a d**k".

Did you wash your mouth out with soap before you kissed your mom last? This is just inexcusable for someone in the mainstream media being blatantly disrespectful to the former Vice President. Of course, after they defended Dan Rather for knowingly falsifying memos about Bush's military record, their occupational integrity left them years ago.

CBS Reporter Gives Extra Lame Excuse Why Media Rises For The One, Not Dubya

CBS' Mark Knoller tries to explain away why reporters rose in reverence but not Bush:

It’s a long-standing practice for reporters to rise when the president enters the East Room for a news conference, but that hasn’t been the case in the briefing room. I checked with two colleagues who served as senior wire service reporters during the Bush Presidency and who, in matters of press protocol, the rest of us followed.

“The briefing room is always a more informal place,” says Steve Holland of Reuters.

But the principal reason reporters remained in their seats, he said, was not to block the shot of TV cameramen and still photographers in the back of the room who were trying to make a picture of the president’s walk-in.

So, why did they rise out of their seats to greet the One the other day?

When some reporters stood up for President Obama last Friday, they forgot about the needs of their colleagues in the back of the room as well as the less formal atmosphere of the briefing room. Certainly it was a sign of respect for the president, but not one of disrespect for his predecessor.

It was President Obama’s first time at the briefing room lectern since taking office and for some new members of the White House Press, it was their first time seeing a president enter the room as well.

I see that makes it so much better. It wasn't that they were disrespecting Bush. It's that they are so in love with Obama that they couldn't help themselves from rising before their Dear Leader.

As to his other point, he has been in office for over 100 days. How much more time do the newbies need to get used to seeing the President?

They should have just let this go. If they had, the story would have went away. They instead felt the need to explain their tingling feelings they get whenever the One they've been waiting for enters the room.

If they really wanted to put the story to rest forever, they should've found a video where they rose for Bush. The fact that they couldn't speaks volumes.

Another Hard Hitting Expose on Obama From the Lovestricken Associated Press

Here's another hard hitting piece from Christine Sommers of the Associated Press:

Geez!

Maybe she and the One should just get a room!

I wonder when they'll do a story like this on George and Laura Bush. I'm still waiting on that one.

Obama Names Non-Diverse Committee Regarding Media's 'Diversity Doctrine' to Silence Conservatives

His "advisors" for the council on diversity in the media isn't very diverse:

President Barack Obama's Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has released the names of the thirty-one members of their Advisory Committee On Diversity For Communications In The Digital Age.  This May 7 gathering is made up of a laundry list of left-wing grievance groups, with a smattering of radio and television companies included to break up the monotony.

Not a single conservative organization is taking part in this Commission - more than a dozen Leftist groups are. A little ironic for a "diversity" panel, is it not?

Yes, yes it is.

While they are trying to go through the back door to silence conservative voices, proponents of the doctrine claim that it isn't about diversity in ideology, but about racial, gender, etc:

On February 26, Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin - one of the myriad past "Fairness" Doctrine champions - sponsored an amendment, passed via a 57-41 Party-line vote, which forces the FCC to "take actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership and to ensure that broadcast station licenses are used in the public interest."

About which Durbin said at the time: "No one is suggesting that the law for the FCC says that you can give this license to a Republican and this one to a Democrat and this one to a liberal and this one to a conservative.  When we talk about diversity in media ownership, it relates primarily to gender, race and other characteristics of that nature."

Here's how the diversity committee partially breaks down:

• Emma Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media (Rivera's outfit)
• Minority Media and Telecommunications Council
• Black Entertainment Television Holdings, Inc.
• Afro-American Newspapers
• Inner City Broadcasting
• National Urban League
• National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters
• Spanish Broadcasting System
• American Women in Radio and Television
• Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc.
• Asian American Justice Center

Feel the exclusive multiculturalism. I thought segregation ended a long time ago. It seems to be back. However, instead of segregating by race, they seem to want to segregate us by ideology.

Newsbusters' Seton Motley calls out their "diversity" for what it really is:

The proponents of station owner affirmative action are the same Leftists who were so ardently in favor of reinstating the Doctrine.  One can thusly be forgiven for seeing this as an alternative route for the Left to reach their long-sought original destination - the silencing of conservative and Christian talk radio via governmental regulatory fiat.

We must not be fooled by the new terminology. If looks, talks, and walks like the "Fairness" Doctrine it is the "Fairness" Doctrine just repackaged. They are violating the 1st amendment just thinking about implementing federally enforced law that would force stations to silence conservative through the back door.

Obama Gets Revenge on Fox News For Not Showing His Press Conference, Won't Call On Fox Reporter

Obama's ego is common knowledge at this point, but he allegedly resorted to revenge according to FNC's Major Garrett:

If this is true, it is unbelievable that Obama would blatantly slight a Fox reporter because of his own hurt feelings. While it has happened that individual reporters were ignored by Bush, but not a entire network.

Fox obviously made the correct choice as their ironically named "Lie to Me" beat out all of the other stations while they showed the Obama presser. However, they paid for it because the White House refused to call on them.

Is this a sign of things to come with Obama disdain for the more conservative media?

Unfortunately, it's most likely that it will be a long four years for Fox News.

National Lampoon's Animal House: Going "Teabaggin" on CNN, MSNBC

Liberal mockery was in full effect yesterday. As there were many references. They turned a day of civil protest into a day at the Animal House with Bluto.

For CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to use the word "teabagging" in a sentence.

Teabagging, for those who don't live in a frat house, refers to a sexual act involving part of the male genitalia and a second person's face or mouth.

The laughs were coming from all left-leaning stations. It was amateur hour at the Improv all day at CNN and MSNBC. Here some of the "TEA protest" greatest comedy hits:

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper interspersed "teabagging" references with analyst David Gergen's more staid commentary on how Republicans are still "searching for their voice."

"It's hard to talk when you're teabagging," Cooper explained. Gergen laughed, but Cooper kept a straight face.

MSNBC's David Shuster weaved a tapestry of "Animal House" humor Monday as he filled in for Countdown host Keith Olbermann.

The protests, he explained, amount to "Teabagging day for the right wing and they are going nuts for it."

You would think that he could've composed himself a little and acted like an adult but no such luck. He kept on and on and on with the sophmoric jokes that only a 15-year old boy would laugh at and appreciate.

He described the parties as simultaneously "full-throated" and "toothless," and continued: "They want to give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending." Shuster also noted how the protesters "whipped out" the demonstrations this past weekend.

Liberal elites like to think that they are more sophisticated than the rest of America. However, this shows that they are usually more juvenile than their opposition in their discussions about the other half of America.

They used their ploy of mocking the opposition as a way to minimize them and their message.

The Mainstream Media didn't even try and hide their contempt for the protesters, and their bias was on full display in front of the world.

Your Honor, this is Exhibit B in the case of why the old media is dying.

CNN Reporter Appalled by Obama/Hitler Comparison, Flashback: Linking Bush/Hitler, Eh...Not So Much

"In (her segment) (Susan Roesgen) sought out another TEA Party participant who had a mocked-up sign in which President Barack Obama is melded with Adolf Hitler.  She immediately began arguing with this gentleman as well; amongst the things she angrily said were "Why be so hard on the President of the United States with such an offensive message?" and "Do you realize how offensive that is?"

While I agree with her that it is over the line to like Obama with Hitler, that isn't the point of this post. Newsbusters has dug up an old video of her covering a anti-Bush protest in New Orleans where someone made a float with W's head with devil horns and a Hitler mustache, and all she could say about it was this:

"City officials aren’t the only ones wondering when federal money will materialize. Catholic school girls marched on Jackson Square. They and their teachers say more money is needed to fix the levees, and they hoped the President would stop by after his meeting with business leaders. But while a look-alike showed up with a wad of cash, Mr. Bush did not."

This "look-alike" was the previously mentioned Bush head. Where was her outrage then? There was a stark difference in her demeanor between her confronting the "tea" protestor and her commenting on the Bush float.

Your honor, this is exhibit A in the investigation as to why CNN gets beat by Fox every single day and time slot for the past few years.

Misleading Tea Party Headline of the Day

"Tens of Thousands Rally at Tax Day 'Tea Parties'"

This comes from the RSS feed from the AP top headlines.

There is no official word that I've heard as to exactly how many people showed up at rallies nationwide, but reports believe that it is around 300,000. That would make it more accurate if the AP said "hundreds of thousands" not just "tens of thousands".

Of course, this is just par for the course for the liberally slanted Associated Press.

CNN Reporter Misses Spendapalooza Forest For Tax Trees

Objective CNN Reporter to Chicago Tea Party Attendee: ‘Why Are You Complaining? Don’t You Know Obama Gave Your State Billions in the Stimulus!?”

My Thoughts

It's not like Obama took it out of his own pocket. He took $ from my kids and grandkids to waste on meaningless pork projects.

As Emanuel pointed out, it's not just about taxes. It's about the misuse of our tax dollars by both Democrats and Republicans.

The bailouts that were started by Bush and expanded by Obama was just the start. The porkulus bill that will only stimulate the growth of the Democratic party with no real help for the economy was beyond atrocious.

It's about the national debt doubling in the Bush years and on pace to triple during the Obama years assuming he's re-elected.

"Brokaw's Embarrassment" Grows, MSNBC Moves Further Left With Addition of Ed Shultz

Is MSNBC Set to Create Yet Another Left-Wing Propaganda Hour?
By Rich Noyes
March 26, 2009 - 10:53 ET

If you thought MSNBC could not possibly tilt any further to the left, you may — sadly — be wrong. According to the New York Observer, the cable network may be about to give liberal radio host Ed Schultz his own program. Schultz has already filled in three times this month as anchor of the 6pm ET 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the one-time venue of Meet the Press moderator David Gregory.

“Schultz, with his rustic delivery, blue-collar bona fides and copious hunting references, would presumably add some heartland credibility to MSNBC's wonky cosmopolitan lineup without disrupting the lefty story line,” The Observer’s Felix Gillette noted on Tuesday.

Schultz has been a favorite with the NBC/MSNBC crowd since his national radio show debuted in January 2004. NBC’s Today show quickly brought him on as a pundit during the Democratic primaries, and treated him to a gooey profile in March of that year. Katie Couric touted Schultz as a liberal version of radio mega-star Rush Limbaugh, though at the time Schultz’s affiliates consisted only of stations in North Dakota, Montana, and Needles, California.

“Who in the heck is Ed Schultz? We’re gonna profile the man being called the liberals’ answer to Rush Limbaugh," Couric chirped in setting up the segment. "There’s a different sound coming from your radio days these days. It’s a liberal talk show host. Some say it’s the left wing’s answer to Rush Limbaugh. And you might be surprised to hear that this liberal host originates from the conservative heartland. We’re gonna meet him in this half-hour.”

The report, by correspondent Jamie Gangel, revealed that Schultz was actually a stooge of Democratic activists. "It is no secret that you are on the air for the next two years because Democratic donors have put up $2 million to launch this. Can you really say what you think?" Gangel challenged. Schultz insisted: "I'm not beholden to anybody."

In 2008, NBC and MSNBC both pounded conservative radio host Bill Cunningham after he referred to “Barack Hussein Obama” prior to a McCain campaign event. A few weeks later, however, after the liberal Schultz blasted McCain as a “warmonger” at an Obama event (for which the Obama campaign rebuked Schultz), his friends at NBC and MSNBC helped shield him. MSNBC’s Countdown and Hardball — which feverishly went after Cunningham — were silent on Schultz, while David Gregory’s 6pm Race for the White House offered Schultz a friendly forum to explain himself.

Appearing on the April 7, 2008 show, Schultz stuck by his venomous attack: “He is a warmonger. His policies and his positions on Iraq certainly parallel that of a warmonger. And he fits the description.”

On his radio show, Schultz has polluted the airwaves with rhetoric far nastier than what liberals claim about talk radio conservatives. Last Friday, for example, Schultz called GOP Senator Jon Kyl a “spineless scumbag” for daring to criticize President Obama’s joke about bowling “like Special Olympics or something.” Other recent examples chronicled here on NewsBusters:

■ On March 2, Schultz compared Limbaugh to Adolf Hitler: “If you watch Limbaugh with the sound down...he looks like Adolf Hitler!...The parallel is so striking.”
■ On November 25, Schultz rued how, after years of bashing George W. Bush, the outgoing President never extended his hospitality to left-wing talkers: “We lefties with microphones, we were never invited to the White House. Never got a chance to even urinate on the yard.”
■ On November 17, Schultz blasted Republican Senator Richard Shelby as a “terrorist” for opposing a taxpayer bailout of the auto companies: “It is his mission to kill the Big Three.... Senator Shelby from Alabama is a terrorist on the American worker. He is a terrorist on wage workers.” Two weeks later, on December 3, Schultz attacked network news (presumably including NBC?) for not “cheerleading” a socialist bailout: “They should be cheerleading. They should. Forget all this journalist crap! I’m serious.”

Last August, retired NBC anchor Tom Brokaw refused to defend the one-sided left-wing rants that have replaced professional journalism on MSNBC, telling a forum on campaign reporting: “I think Keith has gone too far. I think Chris has gone too far.” If MSNBC adds Schultz to the line-up, Brokaw’s embarrassment will only grow.

My Thoughts

MSNBC had already hit rock bottom. Now, they've took out a shovel and started to dig.

The MSM and the left pounded Limbaugh just for saying that he wants Obama's agenda to fail. Imagine what would have happened if he would've called Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid a “spineless scumbag” or said that Obama looked like Hitler while stumping on the campaign trail.
